Glennis Leary is a very busy and active in her chosen post-retirement career as a tapestry weaver. Having retired from a career in teaching she then completed a 6 year course in the fine art, she is now running a course in tapestry weaving with U3A Kyneton. In her spare time (!) she gets the odd bit of recognition for her work – the most recent is her work being accepted for final selection (and exhibition) at the Petite Miniature Textiles Biennial Exhibition at the Wangaratta Art Gallery
This exhibition features artists internationally and from around the country, displaying contemporary textiles no larger than 30x30x30cm. It’s a fiercely fought and prestigious exhibition and congratulations to Glennis on being accepted to exhibit at this event
The exhibition at the Wangaratta Art Gallery is from 2 June to 17 July.
