COURSES WITH PLACES
There is still some availability for the following programs:
- Poetry-Art Poetry (starting on Thursday this week)
This will commence with the greatest poem of the 20th Century “Ekphrasis” and will look at how poetry inspires painters, then how art inspires poets. The word ekphrasis, or ecphrasis, comes from the Greek for the written description of a work of art produced as a rhetorical or literary exercise, often used in the adjectival form ekphrastic. It is a vivid, often dramatic, verbal description of a visual work of art, either real or imagined. Come along to be inspired by joining course 23LIT04.
- Words out Loud (public speaking)
This program commences in April and will be a light-hearted and fun approach to building up confidence and mastering strategies for speaking in public, whether speaking at a meeting or at a family occasion. To register for some relaxed sessions in a comfortable environment, enrol in 23LIT01.
